There are many reasons for this most common sleep disorder.
Snoring is a common problem that affects as many as 45% of Poles. Most, however, come down to one mechanism: muscle relaxation during sleep. Then this inhaled air does not have enough space to flow freely. It starts to spin, and the vibrating movements make a sound that we popularly call snoring. The treatment of snoring and apnea has so far been based on surgical, often painful and requiring long convalescence procedures. The treatment consists in precisely directing the Er:YAG laser beam to specific areas in the oral cavity in order to reduce snoring.
The laser does not affect the continuity of the epidermis, so the treatment is painless and does not require anesthesia.

The full procedure includes 4 treatments performed on the following days: 1, 15, 45, 75.
The effects are noticeable on the first day after the procedure and last for about a year. If snoring recurs, another series of treatments should be performed.

- dental and periodontal diseases
- viral infections: HIV, hepatitis
- epilepsy
- taking photosensitizing drugs and supplements (should be discontinued 2 weeks before the procedure)
- aphthae
- autoimmune diseases (e.g. systemic lupus, scleroderma)
- cancer
- taking vasodilating drugs
- taking/using steroids
- wounds and inflammations in the oral cavity
- susceptibility to the formation of keloids
- pacemaker
- taking medications that reduce blood clotting
- consumption of herbs, i.e.: St. John's wort, marigold, chamomile (herbs should be discontinued 2 weeks before the procedure)
